After being at class for the last couple of days,  I have concluded that my whole way of thinking about this project has been wrong.  I have wanted to create something that was useful for accomplishing something.  I don’t think I could have been more wrong.  Consequently,  I am still thinking about an idea but at least I have a better idea about what to thinki about.

Looking at some stuff

I spent a good deal of time looking at these Logo chips online last evening and I was quite impressed with how much they can do given how much they cost. Now, if I could only come up with a SUPERB idea that rocks my socks off I would be set!

well…we are about 3 weeks into the class and I as well as much of the class am beginning to think that we are going to have to change some things in order for the final project to be plausible. I would like to see 3 bigger projects of about 4-6 people each that way we might be able to get things done by shift-space(that would be good!).

I’m still working on developing an idea that is practical. I guess as I learn more in class from both fellow students and the software that we use, I will be more able to develop my idea

Project Ideas

As it seems that everyone else in the class is having difficulty in coming up with an idea for this that seems somewhat plausible, I must admit that I am having difficulty understanding the way the class will work?? Is there an art student that will give me ideas on how to make my prject look, sound, smell better? Who knows….anyway here’s the idea. I want to create a microphone/program that will listen to a standardized source i.e. a piano or a keyboard or a violin and create sheet music based on what was played. I don’t think that it is plausible to do one instrument for all since they all sound different. It might even be difficult to do it fromone piano to another…but I am willing to give it a try….give me your thoughts….
